Can TheraThink handle double insurance or double coverage patients?
Yes, absolutely. Note these claims take longer to process because they are processed twice.
Does TheraThink provider Out Of Network Billing Services?
Yes, we do! Happy to help.
What about EAPs?
We also file EAPs for our clients daily. Some EAP plans require provider-specific client information and we do not and cannot bill for these companies.
Do you track payments?
Yes we do.
Does TheraThink work with my EHR?
We do!
Your claims will be submitted through your TheraThink account by us, but you can continue to utilize your EHR’s account history and features you’re familiar with.
You can either send us the information via email or add your appointments directly.
I don't receive copies of my EOBs (explanation of benefits) anymore, can TheraThink help?
Yes, we will track all your appointments and appointment payments for you by calling insurance companies to collect all your payment information on your behalf: check number, patient responsibility, and insurance payment information for every claim.
Does TheraThink Provide Credentialing Services?
Yes! We can provide your practice credentialing services at a fixed rate per application.
Medicare — $270

Any commercial insurance plan (e.g. Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, ValueOptions / Beacon, Magellan, etc) — $130
What does TheraThink charge for it's services?
TheraThink charges a percentage of the “allowed amount” or “contracted rate” for that session as dictated by the Explanation of Benefits receipt issued by the insurance company. We only charge for paid claims that we have completed.
We charge based on the allowed amount (which is the combination of patient responsibility and insurance payment also know as the contracted or allowed rate) because, regardless of who pays you your contracted rate, we will always provide you and your clients the same excellent service, filing claims on both of your behalves.
If you are a group practice with two or more providers, please reach out about our group rates.
As of February 2019, because of ACA regulations, our ClearingHouse provider OfficeAlly has instituted mandatory claims processing fees for each unique tax ID + rendering NPI combination of claims filed through their clearinghouse.
All providers will be subject to a $35 / month / unique tax ID + rendering NPI fee for each month that claims are submitted through TheraThink.
We have no start up fee, no per claim submission fees, and we handle eligibility and benefits verification for free as well.
How We Work With You
How do I send information over and receive information about my billing?
We developed a mental-health-professional’s only HIPAA compliant application panel that securely houses your information using TSL/SSL encryption.
You log into your application panel online (no need to download anything, works on all web browsers, iPads, etc) to view information on your clients, appointments, and claims. We take that information and use it to file, follow up with, and account for every appointment you send to us!
You can also send us information via our HIPAA compliant Fax number as well.
How does TheraThink know when I have a new client?
You will need to notify us about your new or prospective client, whereupon we will do an eligibility and benefits verification on your behalf.
I have a biller I'm not satisfied with. How do I transition?
We handle this in one of two ways: 1) we simply move all your existing and new clients over to our service or 2) we take on just your new clients so you can try us out and compare us against your current solution.
How long do Eligibility and Benefits verification take to turn around?
We pride ourselves in turning them around within 48 business hours.
How much of my time will it take each week after I'm setup?
Less than one hour!

The 16th of every month.

Yes, but we do not publicly disclose them for obvious reasons. Please contact us below and if we are a good fit, we’ll reach out to a current practice or two that we work and ask if they have time to be a reference.
If we end up working together, we would treat your practice in the exact same manner; we care about our customers privacy and understand time is limited.
How long have you been in business?
We established TheraThink in March, 2014 and have been happily billing since.
How available is TheraThink to answer questions? Does TheraThink take vacation time?
Our team is working 52 weeks a year to bill for our clients. We will always have a staff member available to reply to your concern within a business day.
