Individual Psychotherapy Reimbursement Rates for LPCs, LMFTs, and LMHCs in 2025
Welcome to our guide on LMHC, LMFT, and LPC reimbursement rates for therapy in 2025. We have rate information for you from a variety of sources but none of this is a guarantee of a contracted rate and your rates will depend on you and the insurance company as your time of credentialing.
As of 2024, Medicare now allows licensed professional counselors, licensed marriage and family therapists alongside licensed mental health counselors to become in-network providers with the CMS.
Rates, however, are not the same as other mental health providers. Rates are capped at 75% of the current Medicare reimbursement rate for that mental health service in particular.
